Reliable Technology Services has earned a place on the 2026 Inc. 5000, Inc.’s annual ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States. We ranked No. 3,123 with 97 percent revenue growth over three years. This is our third consecutive appearance: No. 2,979 in 2024, No. 2,747 in 2025, and No. 3,123 in 2026.
Our review of Inc.’s published list found 221 Dallas-Fort Worth companies, including five managed IT and cybersecurity providers. We are the only one headquartered in Frisco.
This post covers how the list works, what the 2026 data says about the DFW business landscape, and why a provider’s growth record belongs in any serious IT evaluation. Most companies reach a growth list in one breakout year, but a services company only stays on one because clients keep choosing it.
What is the Inc. 5000 and how are companies ranked?
The Inc. 5000 ranks private American companies by percentage revenue growth over a three-year window. The 2026 list measures 2022 through 2025 and requires at least $2 million in 2025 revenue. Honorees must be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent.
Inc. launched the original Inc. 500 in 1982 and expanded it to 5,000 companies in 2007. That was also the year Reliable opened in Frisco.
The 2026 class generated more than $385 billion in combined 2025 revenue, per Inc.’s announcement. Companies apply for consideration, but the ranking is based on percentage revenue growth. The objectiveness of the list makes it more meaningful than some other subjective industry awards.
How many DFW companies made the 2026 Inc. 5000?
By our count, compiled from Inc.’s published list on release morning, 505 Texas companies made the 2026 Inc. 5000. Of those, 221 are headquartered in Dallas-Fort Worth, and 14 are headquartered in Frisco.
The industry mix tells the local story. DFW’s honorees cluster in software, artificial intelligence, healthcare, financial services, and construction. Managed IT and cybersecurity providers account for only five of the 221 DFW companies in our count.
Why do so few IT providers sustain growth lists?
A software company can reach the Inc. 5000 on a single breakout product cycle, but service providers grow differently from these kinds of companies. For a managed IT provider, sustained growth generally depends on retaining clients, expanding existing relationships, and winning referrals and new business. Our 97 percent growth came from that mix.
In managed IT support, growth is built through routine work done well, year after year: the 2 a.m. alert a real person answered; the restore that worked because someone tested the backup before, not after, the outage; the quarterly review where we told a client not to buy something they did not need.
A sustained growth streak does not create a healthy services company but rather reveals the strength that was already there.
What does a provider’s growth mean for businesses choosing IT support?
When you hire a managed IT or cybersecurity provider, you are choosing who answers when something breaks at the worst possible moment. That makes the provider’s own financial health part of your risk profile, and it is a factor buyers often overlook during the sales process.
A provider growing through customer retention has the staffing to answer the phone and the stability to still be standing three years into your contract. Audited, sustained revenue growth is one of the few outside signals of provider health a buyer can independently verify. It belongs on your evaluation list next to response times and security certifications.
That is why we prefer verifiable numbers to broad marketing claims. Our Inc. 5000 profile is public, and so is the math behind it.
The record behind three consecutive years
Reliable Technology Services was founded in Frisco in 2007, and several of our earliest clients are still with us 19 years later. Businesses rely on us for IT support in Frisco and IT support in Dallas, with coverage throughout the Metroplex, and over the 2022 to 2025 window that work compounded into 97 percent revenue growth.
